Terms of Service

Effective September 22, 2026

These terms apply to the text-messaging program Christopher Traynor runs and to this website. By texting (757) 919-1979 you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

Christopher Traynor ("we", "us") is a sole proprietor. We are building a text-message assistant that books appointments for independent trade contractors — plumbers, electricians, roofers and similar trades. You can reach us at support@repairfor.me, or by texting HELP to (757) 919-1979.

2. The messaging program

The messaging program is a testing program. It exists so that we can test the assistant with real text messages on real phones before it is offered to anyone.

Who it is for. The program is only for people who have agreed with us to take part in testing. Every participant is a willing party performing testing on the mobile phone that our messages are sent to. It is not open to the public, and we do not send messages to anyone who has not joined it.

What happens in it. A participant plays the part of a customer who needs work done, and texts (757) 919-1979. The assistant replies on behalf of a contractor business: it asks about the job, offers appointment times, and confirms, changes or cancels the appointment by text. The replies are written by an automated assistant that uses an AI language model; they are not typed by a person.

The contractors are test businesses. The contractor businesses the assistant books for during testing are test businesses set up by us. An appointment made in the program is a test record. No one will be sent to your address, no work will be carried out, and nothing is owed by anyone.

3. How you join

You join by sending a text message to (757) 919-1979. That first text is your request to receive messages from the program. We reply only to participants who have texted the number, and our messages are about the conversation you started and any test appointment made in it.

4. Message frequency, cost and delivery

Message frequency varies with how much testing you do. Most test conversations run to a handful of messages; a longer test, or a change to a test appointment, can mean more.

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's normal charges for sending and receiving text messages apply to messages in this program. We do not charge you anything.

Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages. We cannot guarantee that any message will be delivered, or delivered on time.

5. How to stop messages, and how to get help

To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to (757) 919-1979. The words STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT work the same way. You will receive one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and then no further messages from us.

You can also tell us to stop in your own words — "stop texting me", "take me off your list" — and we will treat it exactly as we treat STOP.

For help, reply HELP to (757) 919-1979, or email support@repairfor.me.

If you stop and later want to take part again, text START to (757) 919-1979.

6. What we do not do

We do not send advertising or marketing messages in this program. We do not sell you anything, and no message will ask you to buy, subscribe to or pay for anything.

We are not a contractor. We do not perform trade work, employ or supervise contractors, set their prices, or handle payment between a contractor and a customer. Outside testing, the agreement for any work is between the customer and the contractor.

7. Using the program properly

Please use the program only for testing. Do not send unlawful, abusive, harassing or deceptive content, do not impersonate anyone else, and do not send anyone's personal information other than your own. Do not send payment card numbers, account passwords or similar sensitive information: the program never needs them. We may stop sending messages to any number that misuses the program.

8. No warranty, and limits on liability

The program is a test of software under development and is provided "as is". It may give wrong answers, be unavailable, or stop without notice, and we make no promise that it will work.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the program, and our total liability to you arising from the program is limited to $100.

9. Privacy

How we collect, use and share information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. When we do, we will post the new version here and change the effective date above. If you keep taking part after a change, the new terms apply.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
