Privacy policy

Effective September 22, 2026

1. Who we are and what this covers

This policy explains how Christopher Traynor ("we", "us"), a sole proprietor, handles information in the text-messaging program at (757) 919-1979 and on this website. The messaging program is a testing program: every participant is a willing party who has agreed to help test our appointment-booking assistant using their own mobile phone. Our Terms of Service describe the program in full.

Questions about this policy go to support@repairfor.me.

2. What we collect

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, payment card numbers, bank details, passwords or government identification numbers.

3. How we use it

We use this information to run the test conversation you started: to understand your messages, reply to them, and book, change or cancel a test appointment. We also use it to honor requests to stop and keep a record that we did, to find and fix faults in the assistant, to measure whether it is working, and to meet our legal and carrier obligations.

4. Calendar access

To offer appointment times and record a booking, the assistant reads and writes the calendar of the contractor business it is booking for. It looks up which times are free, and when an appointment is agreed it writes an entry to that calendar containing the appointment details from section 2 and your phone number. These calendars are held with Google Calendar. The assistant never asks for or receives access to your calendar.

5. Who we share it with

The contractor you are booked with. When the assistant books you with a contractor business, your phone number and the appointment details you gave — name, address, job description and time — are given to that contractor, through their calendar and their records, because that is how the contractor knows who to expect and how to reach you. In the testing program those contractor businesses are test businesses set up by us, so in practice this information stays with us; we say it plainly because it is how the service works.

Service providers who process information for us. These handle information only on our behalf and only to provide their service to us:

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing purposes. SMS opt-in data and personal information are never sold, rented or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect someone's safety or our legal rights.

6. How long we keep it

7. Your choices and how to have information removed

Stop messages at any time by replying STOP to (757) 919-1979, or by telling us to stop in your own words. Either takes effect immediately. Reply HELP for help.

See, correct or remove your information by emailing support@repairfor.me from, or naming, the phone number concerned. We will respond within 30 days. When we remove your information we delete your messages, appointment details and calendar entries; we keep only the record that your number opted out, if it did, for the reason given in section 6. If you live in a state that gives you privacy rights, such as California, you may exercise them the same way, and we will not treat you differently for doing so.

8. Security

Information is held on access-controlled servers, and it is encrypted whenever it travels over the public internet. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

9. Children

The program is only for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn that we have, we delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will post the new version here and change the effective date above.
