This page explains, in plain terms, the text-messaging program Christopher Traynor runs at (757) 919-1979: who receives our messages, how they come to receive them, what the messages say, and how to stop them.
We are building a text-message assistant that books appointments for trade contractors. The messaging program is how we test it. This program is for testing only. Every participant is a willing party performing testing using the mobile phone our messages are sent to.
Only participants who have agreed to help us test receive messages. A participant joins by texting (757) 919-1979 from their own phone. We send nothing to a number that has not texted us first, and we do not buy, rent or collect lists of phone numbers.
A participant plays the part of a customer who needs work done. The assistant replies on behalf of a test contractor business: it asks what the job is, offers appointment times, and confirms, changes or cancels the appointment. For example:
Thanks for getting in touch. Could you tell me a little about the leak — where it is, and how long it has been going on? Then I can find you a time.
The replies are written by an automated assistant using an AI language model. The contractor businesses are test businesses set up by us, and an appointment made in testing is a test record: no one comes to your address and no work is done.
We are not selling anything. The program carries no advertising, no offers, no links to buy anything and no charges from us.
Message frequency varies with how much testing you do; most test conversations run to a handful of messages. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.
Reply STOP to (757) 919-1979 — or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT — and you will receive one confirmation and then no further messages.
Or tell us to stop in your own words, such as "stop texting me". We treat it exactly as we treat STOP.
